These batteries will also last 2 to 3 times longer than the old NiCAD type and 30% longer than older generation NiMH batteries. GP " D " cells also have a large button on their positive post so they fit tight in all your equipment -- just like standard " D " batteries -- and will hold their charge longer than most other NiMH batteries on the market today.  Also these batteries have a nominal capacity of 4500 mAH but actually average about 4750mAH according to the manufacturer - GP Batteries.
