Harding Energy’s research of the digital camera market resulted in a discovery that there is a universal concern among camera manufactures and the consumer, which is "how can I extend battery life, or increase the number of images that I can capture on a set of batteries". The power required to efficiently operate a digital camera exceeds the capabilities of an alkaline disposable battery. Tests conducted by Harding’s engineers and independent tests have proven this conclusion. These tests indicate that a set of alkaline batteries will allow the digital camera user to capture as few as 3, and as many as 80 images, depending upon the camera make and model.
