| Q: How do the
Nickel Metal Hydride batteries last in other equipment? A: We performed
several tests ourselves in order to test how long the NiMH batteries lasted in Two top
brand metal detectors and two different Digital cameras.
How long did they last? Basically our NiMH 1300 mAH "AA" batteries lasted almost
twice as long as standard Nicad rechargeable
batteries in both the Metal Detector and the Digital camera tests, and at a fraction of
the cost. The metal detectors seemed to be even more responsive when using the
NiMH batteries. We performed a depth test in a sand box and the NiMH batteries
consistently averaged an extra one inch in depth on a "Copper Clad Dime" and
just a little deeper on a "Silver Dime". Needless to say were
impressed. What detectors did we use you ask? One was a Garrett Ultra GTA 1000, and the other was a Fischer
1260X.
We used a Epson Photo PC650
and a Kodak 210 Digital Camera in our Camera tests. Again,
our NiMH 1300 mAH "AA"
batteries lasted over twice as
long as standard Nicad and much longer than standard alkaline batteries. So if you have a digital camera that uses
"AA" or "AAA' batteries NiMH is the most economical way to power them to
date. |
